Anju Gets The Title Of Woman Of The Year

She competed in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens but did not win a medal. She again participated in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, however owing to fouls in all three of her tries, she was unable to qualify for the women’s long jump event.

Personal life: Anju is married to Robert Bobby George, a former national champion triple jumper who also serves as her coach. Anju is employed with the Customs Department. She is based in Bangalore and obtains her training there as well. The Chennai Customs House elevated him out of turn after learning about his athletic exploits. Anju, a two-time Olympian, has been elevated to the position of customs superintendent.
