The last day of the joint fashion week between the FDCI and Lakme Fashion Week is today, March 31st. Taking place in Delhi for five days, the event has served as a fantastic venue for both emerging designers and established brands to display their products on a huge scale.
Label Romaa presented a big exhibition of her current collection, Jharoka Couture ’22, which was inspired by legacy and ancient art forms and was unveiled today in New York City. The designer’s vision was to create a wardrobe that was tailored to the needs of every contemporary lady.
Nargis Fakhri, an actress and model from New York City, travelled all the way to Los Angeles to be the star of the designer’s presentation. She wore a rich purple anarkali kurta with long sleeves that was both exquisite and regal in its appearance. This was worn over flared palazzo trousers with a high waist.
The costume was completed with a matching dupatta, which was the star of the show. Her purple drape was embellished with elaborate gold embroidery, which provided a royal touch to her otherwise basic kurta as she made her triumphant return by sashaying down the runway.
It was her long hair that were fashioned into massive curls that beautifully framed her face. Fakhri’s show-stopping appearance for the occasion was completed with a dewy glow, flushed cheeks, filled-in brows, and lips that were practically the same colour as her gown.
Additionally, statement gems like as big earrings, a simple but gorgeous nath, and a gold haath-phool completed the Rockstar actress’s outfit well, as did her hairstyle.
For us, it’s been an extremely interesting evening, as designers Shivan & Narresh, in partnership with an eyewear company, took us on a voyage between winter and summer today.
The chicness that has been going on at FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week has had us glued to our screens for the last three days, and today marks the fourth day, and it’s fair to say that it’s just getting better and hotter. After what we saw an hour ago, at the very least we are here to vouch for it.
Harnaaz Sandhu Makes Her Debut as a Fabulous Showstopper
This Designer Duo is well-known for bringing the greatest swimwear to the market, but have they reached their limit? Try on some of their ethnic outfits, such as lehengas, since the designs and needlework will transport you on a journey that your eyes won’t be able to stop staring at them.
Such is the calibre of the work they do, and today was no exception to that rule. We saw ski clothing, followed by everything else that should be part of your summer look. From cut-out monokinis and shorts to crop tops, mesh shirts, and even more bikini sets, there was a riot of designs and colours on the runway this season.
This event also gets bonus points for the sultry style that was done, such as when they paired a monokini with a pair of patterned tights.
Into the mix came our very own diva, who made her stage debut as a show-stopping sensation. She gained international recognition in 2021 when she was crowned Miss Universe. Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu graced the red carpet in a halter-neck gown created in velvet; we dare not forget about this luxurious ensemble.
Because she is the celebrity that she is, she shone as she walked down the runway in a gown with decorations put all over the twisted fabric that rested around her neck. It maintained its remarkable appearance even when the same detail was added on the rear.
This plunging neckline flowing dress also had a train that swept the floors of the runway with a great deal of sophistication. Giving kudos for maintaining consistency, for example, the pulled-back gelled hairstyle that all models and the magnificent showstopper had throughout the show.
She put her sunglasses on her back, and her makeup was completely natural, with the exception of those glossy lips, which blended in perfectly.
